Guided Meditations

Guided meditations are a powerful tool for connecting us to ourselves, the earth, and with each other. For many people, guided meditations are a more accessible path to mindfulness. Focusing on the words allows us to more effectively relax and come into the present moment.

Doctors, counselors and other practitioners have been using guided meditation for at least two centuries to help patients heal. Now, even The National Institutes of Health, Mayo Clinic and many other researchers validate their health benefits.

Certified yoga instructor and retired school nurse Ann Stillwater leads guided meditations on a wide variety of themes. Audiences include school nurses, festivals, communities of faith, women’s groups, for individuals (including students) and in hundreds of yoga classes.

Ann also leads a workshop on how to lead guided meditations. In it Ann shares several short guided meditations and tips and best-practices for leading guided meditations in your own settings. Included are discussion and information on some trauma-informed and intersectionality practices to help your guided meditations be more equitable and accessible.
